    The Longview Community Foundation allows us to combine our resources and have an even greater impact on our community. Imagine...in 2050, the Longview Community Foundation holds a permanent fund of $100 million that every year awards $5 million for community-changing catalyst grants in support of existing local charities. Imagine the impact that would have on our community!

    The Longview Community Foundation exists to:

    • Promote solutions to community challenges;

    • Strengthen our local nonprofits; and

    • Engage philanthropists.

    With a community foundation, everyone can help! Your donation makes a difference, no matter the size, and will pool together with donations from other community members to make a big difference!

    Donations are invested, and the earnings fund community initiatives year after year, creating sustainable support that outlives any single donor or project.

    Longview Community Foundation is locally led and locally guided. Governed by a board of community members, they use local knowledge to identify opportunities and challenges, ensuring resources stay focused where they matter most.

    It’s like other foundations in that it’s simply a vehicle for raising funds collectively and accomplishing great things for our community. What makes this unique is that it’s solely focused on the big picture for Longview - think long-term success and viability for generations to come. 

  • How did this get started?

    The Longview Community Foundation was founded in by Kelly Hall, Kristen Ishihara and Jennifer Ware. The trio was inspired following Longview Chamber Intercity Visits to other communities with similar foundations. Longview is an exceedingly generous community and Longview Community Foundation establishes a pathway for charitable giving to benefit generations to come.
