The Power of Coming Together: What We’re Hearing from Longview

Over the past several months, one thing has become clear: people in Longview care deeply about their community. Whether it’s through conversations with nonprofit leaders, local business owners, educators, or residents, there’s a shared desire to see Longview continue to grow, improve, and thrive.

But alongside that desire, we’ve also heard something else—people are looking for ways to connect their efforts. They want to know how their time, resources, and ideas can make the biggest difference. They’re asking how we move from good intentions to real, sustained impact.

That’s why one of the most important roles of the Longview Community Foundation is to serve as a convener. We’re not just a funding organization. We’re a place where conversations happen, where ideas are shared, and where collaboration begins. Whether it’s a community forum, a nonprofit roundtable, or a simple coffee conversation, these moments of connection are where momentum starts.

We’ve heard about the need for stronger support for nonprofits. We’ve heard about opportunities in education and workforce development. We’ve heard about the importance of investing in public spaces, young families, and the next generation of leaders. None of these challenges belong to one organization, and none of the solutions will either.
